In the beginning we had the idea to travel around the world. Our original wish list of countries to visit spanned the length and depth of the globe, taking in all continents and climates. We quickly realised that our ambitions were somewhat exagerated, and decided to try to keep to similar warmer climates, thus avoiding the carrying of excess winter wardrobes around with us. We also aimed our sights at countries further afield from Europe, leaving nearer places for "shorter" holidays.

However our first route through Asia, Australsia and South America took in 24 countries, which would have resulted in 2 weeks per country. Rather a hectic dash around the world one might say. So we came up with a new strategy. We would each choose 6 places that we really wanted to see not limited to countries, but based on an experience instead.

Here are our twelve choices. Each one will become a link to the experience as we reach them.
